
Emily Rosenfeld is an actor, singer and dancer based in New York City. Emily made her Broadway debut, originating the role of Molly, in the revival of ANNIE. She also originated the role of Emily in the World Premiere of the NEW YORK SPRING SPECTACULAR at Radio City Music Hall.
Emily began her love affair with performing when she was 3 years old, at the Star Kidz performing arts program in Westchester, NY. Earlier in Emily’s career, she acted in several Random Farms productions at the Tarrytown Music Hall. Favorite roles include: Gretl von Trapp in THE SOUND OF MUSIC, Dickon Sowerby in THE SECRET GARDEN, Michael Darling in PETER PAN and Big Jule in GUYS AND DOLLS. Emily was thrilled to be a part of an Off-Broadway, Actor’s Fund benefit reading of MIRACLE ON 34th STREET, THE MUSICAL among other Equity industry readings and workshops. Some favorites include, Tanya in DOCTOR ZHIVAGO and Baby Gumm / Shirley Temple in CHASING RAINBOWS.
Another career highlight is when Emily performed the National Anthem solo at Madison Square Garden for over 18,000 people at a NY Rangers game - her favorite NHL team. Emily also performed the anthem with the Broadway Youth Ensemble at Yankee Stadium - a highlight for her dad who is a lifelong NY Yankees fan.
Broadway Youth Ensemble (BYE) is a New York City based choral ensemble’s membership includes a select group of child performers. As a previous member of BYE, Emily shared the stage with Emmy Award winning composer, Glen Roven; country singer, Lisa Matassa (Vets Rock Concert); opera singer, Lauren Flanigan and the band Train on NBC’s New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly. Emily also had the opportunity to perform with BYE at Symphony Space, Urban Stages in New York City, The Freedom Tower and Carnegie Hall.
Emily has also performed in various cabarets around NYC, including 54 Below, Laurie Beechman Theatre and Le Poisson Rouge.
In addition to performing in the theater, Emily has had the opportunity to hone her skills doing industrials, commercials and voice overs.
Emily loves to dance and was on her high school varsity dance team. She has studied many genres of dance including: Musical Theatre, Tap, Hip-Hop, Jazz and Ballet.
Although Emily focuses on performing, she has many other interests. She is an avid athlete and played the offensive line on her high school varsity floor hockey team and point guard on her middle school basketball team. Emily is also an advanced skier and a brown belt in TaeKwonDo.
Emily is a high school honors student and was recently named a finalist in the CIJE Tank engineering competition.
In 2013, Emily met and adopted Ariel, a mixed breed puppy, at Broadway Barks, the theatre industry's pet adoption drive. It was love at first sight! Emily continues to support pet adoption causes.
Emily is a big sister to Evie and Lucy and is grateful for the love and encouragement she receives from her supportive and close-knit family and friends.
